On my website, entitled "Amusons-nous," I have presented several pages in French showing different aspects of the students' community. The purpose of the site is to serve as a starting point for a more comprehensive site which will include students' work, featuring what students choose to present related to their community. 1. This is a great project idea for students. Not only does it give them an opportunity to use their language skills, it also gives them an opportunity to showcase their communities! How nice is it to allow the students to be a "master" - who knows about their communities better than they do?

I also hear your concern about tech requirements. It's always a good idea to do a trial run and have a back up plan. I think I will have my students do a presentation about their communities and share with their penpals.

  2. I enjoyed the idea of describing a community by using web photos. Your project will provide your students with fantastic opportunities to be creative and use their French. I'll bet parents will be impressed, too.

  3. I think it would be a very interesting project for your students to get involved. It is so relevant to their daily lives and environment.

I also like the beautiful photos you posted and the idea that you are going to have students' work integrated in one site to show case.
